In the rapidly evolving digital landscape, ensuring authenticity and security is paramount. TAGBASE has long been at the forefront of this mission, with innovative solutions like that help verify domain ownership. Now, we are excited to introduce our latest breakthrough: TAGBASE Verified Keys (TVK).

What is TAGBASE Verified Keys (TVK)?

TAGBASE Verified Keys (TVK) is a cutting-edge feature designed to further enhance the security and authenticity of digital identities. TVK allows users to add the public key of their blockchain wallets, which can be on Ethereum, Solana, or Cardano. This public key, once verified, becomes a TAGBASE Verified Key associated with the user’s profile.

How Does TVK Work?

The process of verifying a public key through TVK is straightforward yet highly secure:

  1. Public Key Addition: Users add the public key of their wallet to their TAGBASE profile.

  2. Random Phrase Generation: TAGBASE generates a random phrase that the user must sign using their wallet. For Ethereum, this can be done using popular browser extensions like MetaMask.

  3. Signature Verification: By signing the random phrase, the user proves they have access to the private key corresponding to the public key. TAGBASE verifies this signature to confirm ownership.

  4. Key Verification: Once the signature is validated, the public key is marked as a TAGBASE Verified Key and associated with the user’s profile.

Why is TVK Important?

The introduction of TVK brings several significant benefits:

  • Enhanced Security: TVK ensures that only users who possess the private key can add a public key to their profile, significantly reducing the risk of fraudulent activities.

  • Trust and Authenticity: With a TAGBASE Verified Key, users can confidently prove ownership of their digital wallets, enhancing trust within the community.

  • Seamless Login: In the future, TVK will allow users to log in to TAGBASE using their verified wallet, eliminating the need for traditional usernames and passwords. This not only streamlines the login process but also enhances security by leveraging cryptographic methods.
